Matthew L. McBride III began his career as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney in 1997, trying hundreds of bench trials and conducting evidentiary hearings on a daily basis. In 1999, Mr. McBride took on the position as the U.S. based agent for his Brother, a US National Soccer Team Member, while opening his own Law Firm. In this position, Mr. McBride honed his negotiating skills, negotiating contracts with Major League Soccer and a number of Fortune 500 Companies. In the early 2000's Mr. McBride began concentrating his law practice on employment matters, almost exclusively representing employees and independent contractors. This avenue led Mr. McBride to first-chairing 17 jury trials to verdict. He has also been named an Illinois Super Lawyer each year since 2012 in the area of employment law. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and personal achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Since 2010, Mr. McBride and his Firm have continued to focus on labor and employment matters, including reviews of severance and non-compete agreements. The Firm currently concentrates on reviewing these agreements for its Clients, leveraging technology and experience to provide first class legal services at a fraction of the cost usually needed to hire a lawyer.
